MUNs, short for Model United Nations, are simulations of the United Nations (UN).

At MUN conferences, students represent the interest of a certain nation or organisation that is assigned to them in one of the many UN forums simulated.

Over several days, they discuss topics of international importance and negotiate possible solutions with other delegates.

As we strive for the most realistic UN experience, delegates are required to wear formal attire and conduct themselves as “real” diplomats would.

Based at beatiful Lake Constance, the Zeppelin MUN Society is a part of the Club of International Politics (CIP). Which aim is it to build bridges among students, local residents at Lake Constance and the world of international politics.

Our Standards

It is our ambition to further develop students' understanding of global political structures and to sharpen their awareness of international issues. This is achieved through high-profile guest speakers as well as workshops where delegates can refine their rhetorical skills under professional guidance.

Furthermore, we place great importance on the "social events" in the evenings as an element of international friendship. Here, delegates can get to know each other better, network, and unwind with drinks and music after a demanding day. Students will benefit from the experience gained long after the conference has concluded.

Our Mission

Tolerance for differing opinions and respectful, constructive interaction are central principles of the UN. We not only share these values but also aim to help instill them in the diplomats of tomorrow.

Multilateral diplomacy through the channels of the only supranational organization in which all the world's nations are members remains the best way to solve global problems in the long term. Therefore – despite all justified criticism – we want to highlight the positive aspects of the United Nations.

Our Goal

ZEPPELIN MUN is a project that organizes annual United Nations simulations for students. Our goal is for students to deepen their understanding of global political contexts and broaden their perspective on international challenges. This is primarily achieved by representing a nation in negotiations on critical issues, but also through high-caliber guest speakers and workshops where delegates can polish their public speaking and debating skills under professional supervision.

In addition, we value the cross-cultural connection fostered by our evening social events. These allow delegates to build relationships and relax together after a productive day. The insights and skills gained at LakeMUN provide lasting benefits for the students well beyond the event itself.

Because Politics matters!
